Questions about official Vance County criminal records belong with the government office that maintains the file. The contacts below route court cases to the clerk, sheriff reports to the sheriff, current custody to the detention center, and fingerprint-linked personal records to the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation.

This Is Not a Government Office. This private reference resource cannot retrieve records, perform official checks, correct government files, or receive expunction petitions. Contact the responsible public office directly.

  • Current county custody: Vance County Detention Center, 516 Breckenridge Street, Henderson, NC 27536; 252-438-3923.

District and Superior Court files are both maintained by the Clerk of Superior Court. Sheriff and detention records are separate, even though the courthouse and sheriff share the Church Street address.
